Georgia Law on Hazardous Materials & Oxygen Carried on Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Devices (O.C.G.A. § 40-6-324)

Legal Commentary . This Georgia law on electric personal assistive mobility devices permits the operator of the device to carry oxygen with him or her for personal medical reasons however any other hazardous materials cannot be carried or transported on the device.

Section 40-6-324 Prohibition on carrying hazardous materials; oxygen carried for personal medical reasons not deemed hazardous material

No person shall carry or transport any hazardous materials on an electric personal assistive mobility device. Oxygen carried for personal medical reasons shall not be deemed a hazardous material for purposes of this Code section.
