Practice Area photoChamblee is a city in Dekalb County, Georgia and has a population of about 10,000 people. The Chamblee area was originally settled by the Creek and Cherokee Indians and was a major transportation route. The city of Chamblee was established in on August 17, 1908 by the Georgia legislature. Originally named Roswell Junction, the name of the city was changed to Chamblee in 1907 from a list of petitioners. Chamblee was originally a dairy center, but later became a railroad intersection for the Norfolk Southern and Roswell railroads. At the inception of World War I, Chamblee served as a temporary home to 40,000 doughboys, soldiers en route to fight for the US in the European theatre. The US Army established Fort Gordon before the war and shut it down almost immediately thereafter. Chamblee became an industrial center after World War II as Frito Lay, General Electric and General Motor all built production facilities in or near Chamblee. These facilities have since vanished, replaced by a thriving immigrant community that now calls Chamblee home.

Chamblee is a multi-cultural city that includes a vibrant Asian and Hispanic population. In fact, the Hispanic population has reached approximately 60% of the Chamblee total demographic, making Chamblee one of the only majority-Hispanic communities in the Southeast.
